Pics: Rory McIlroy Describes Daily Training Regime. Are You Tough Enough?

Speaking after the first round of the 2014 Abu Dhabi Golf Championship Rory McIlory described the timings of his typical day of pre season training.

I’m not sure what’s more scary, the training regime, or the fact that there’s a photo to go with every one!

6.30am:

Wake up

7am to 8.30am:

Gym Session. Core, cardio, weights

8.30am to 9.30am

Shower

Breakfast

Travel to course (Els Club Dubai)

10am to 1pm:

Range and Short Game Practice

1pm to 2pm:

Lunch. Carbs

2pm to 5pm:

Play holes. Usually 9 or 18 depending on circumstances.

5.30pm to 7pm:

Gym Session 2. Core, cardio, weights

7.30pm to 8pm:

Dinner.  Plenty of protein to help those weary muscles recover.

Warm down. TV time

Bed.
