Wouldn't It Be Nice If Padraig Harrington Was Announced As A Surprise Ryder Cup Vice Captain?

You know who's kind of been forgotten about in the build up to the Ryder Cup in Gleneagles?  Padraig Harrington.

Podge is a veritable Ryder Cup hero playing six times for Europe and winning on four occasions including in 2010 at Celtic Manor.  And with Paul McGinley now as Captain and Des Smyth and Sam Torrance as vice-captains, it just feels to me like maybe a contemporary for Paul to bounce off is missing.

So wouldn't it be a lovely gesture to the three time Major Champion if McGinners, when naming his wildcards on September 2nd, were to also announce that his old mate and countryman Padraig Harrington has been invited to join the European party as vice-captain?

It's entirely up to you Paul.  Just sayin' it would be nice!
