Paul Azinger Finds Soap Box. Climbs Up On It And Starts Preaching

Man of the moment Paul Azinger is wanted by Phil Mickelson to reprise his 2008 Ryder Cup Captaincy role and he is interested!

But first he needs to engineer getting more power from the PGA of America to start doing things his way.

 "It is time for the PGA of America to recognize the great disconnect and formulate the same business model for selecting a captain as it does for selecting its president and officers," Azinger told USA Today Sports.

Azinger explained how the European Captains first learn the ropes as Vice Captains before being elevated to the top position while the USA appoint "lone wolf Captains".

"The PGA of America has officers that move up the ranks, getting sage advice along the way. And then many of them stick around and keep offering advice," Azinger said. "I think the PGA of America should recognize their business model is exactly the same as what Europe uses in selecting a captain."
"There is a razor-thin line between winning and losing these matches," Azinger said. "Europe has the intangible right now. They give themselves the extra 1% chance to win through its business model and cohesiveness.
"Even if you play blackjack perfectly in a casino, the casino still has a very slight edge against you. Right now Europe is the casino and the U.S. is the guy walking to the blackjack table with a fistful of $50s."

Oh for Gods sakes Ted Bishop, just be done with it and appoint the guy.  Might stop him talking!

The media centre at the 2013 PGA Show was buzzing yesterday.  Not because of anything that happened at the show.  God forbid! Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
