Europe 1 1/2 USA 2 1/2 After Day One Morning Fourballs
The Ryder Cup day one morning fourballs might have been lacking great golf but they sure were not short of drama.
Men of the morning on the USA side were Jimmy Walker and Patrick Reid with Keegan Bradley coming up with a match changing birdie in their match.
On the European side Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson paired together played fantastic.
The gamble that didn't pay off for Europe was the pairing of out of form Ian Poulter with rookie Stephen Gallacher.
The big talking point on the USA side now is why Tom Watson is sending Keegs and Phil out immediately again in foursomes considering that Spieth and Reed played and won so convincingly in the morning.
Apart from the finish, neither Bradley or Mickelson had his best stuff this morning. Time will tell!
