Video: The Amazing Indigenous Swiss Long Drive Sport Of Hornussen "Farmers Golf"
I love the way Red Bull find these little niche sports and give them the glitzy treatment. This is Hornussen, also called "farmers' golf", and is an indigenous Swiss sport developed in the seventeenth century, with many similarities to golf's long drive contest.
Players hit a ball off the top of a ramp using a cross between a driver and a fishing rod.
Red Bull Hornussen is all about bringing together the best hitters from Switzerland in an all-out swing off to see who the most powerful player in the country is. The winning drive clocks in at over 300 metres.
Take that Bubba!
