Tiger Woods Doing A RoboCop. Will Play Just Once And Have Full Diagnostics Done Before British Open.

I'm totally baffled as to why Tiger Woods said yesterday that he wants to play himself back to full tournament fitness in a bid to contend at the Open Championship when the reality seems to be that he's going to play just one tournament,  the Quicken Loans National next week, get a full diagnostic report from doctors, and then determine whether he's going to make the transatlantic journey to Liverpool.

It seems somehow that Wo ods is under some duress to play next week as the tournament benefits his charitable work.

Woods wont be at the Greenbrier Classic the following week according to Geoff who spoke to organizer Jim Justice who in turn spoke to Mark Steinberg, Tiger's agent.

“He is going to play in his event (the tournament at Congressional donates money to the Tiger Woods Foundation), and then he’ll be off until the British Open,” said Justice, who said he received a courtesy call from Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, Friday telling him the news. “Tiger loved The Greenbrier and had a great time, but the doctors are telling him he has to rest after playing an event if he’s going to try to make the British Open. And he has to play in his tournament.”

He "has to play" in his tournament? Sounds like a Prime Directive.

The media centre at the 2013 PGA Show was buzzing yesterday.  Not because of anything that happened at the show.  God forbid! Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
