Tiger Woods: Massive Muscles, Massive Back Spasm, Massive TV Coverage
The danger with being muscle bound is that when spasms come, theyâre going to be debilitating in the short term. Tiger Woods found that out yesterday in his final round of the Honda Classic when he walked off the course after playing 13 holes in five over.
This is the same man who played Rocco with a hairline fracture in his leg; a renowned non quitter. His playing Luke Guthrie saw up close that Woods was in serious difficulty throughout but soldiered on as best he could.
Of course with Woods out of contention in any case, the next cause of worry was that he might miss the WGC Cadillac in Doral next week.
"Regarding Doral, too early to tell," he said. "I'll get treatment every day to try and calm it down. Don't know yet. We'll see how I am, wait till Thursday and see how it feels."
They say every cloud has a silver lining and Woods walk off actually allowed the TV producers to end the frankly absurd coverage of his every waking moment and return to coverage what was one of the most dramatic conclusions to the event in recent memory.
