Masters Odds Watch: Does Tiger Tempt You At 9/1?
Isn’t it amazing that when some people mention Tiger Woods right now their first words are “he’ll never win another Major†or “he’s f***ed now his back is gone The analysis on Tiger’s game always seems to focus on the negative, not the positive. Maybe it’s because we expect so much from him, over any other golfer.
Glossing right over the fact that the man won five PGA events last season, just now Tiger’s record seems in some circles to be standing for nought.
It’s a harsh world, when even though he’s won four Green Jackets already, nobody really expects a fifth, especially not nine years on from the last.
But are the bookies fooled? No, as always, is the answer.
They are however, toying with the punter, offering odds of 9/1 on Woods. He’s still second favourite behind Rory McIlroy at 7/1.
Tiger himself is as confident as ever and despite what would appear to be an ongoing back problem has announced he is to defend his title at the 2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Should he show up doing cartwheels and back flips and win there for a ninth time, just watch those odds tumble.
