The USA Have Their 2016 US Olympic Golf Team Sorted While We Still Faff Around

Nobody likes awkward questions, but with Rory McIlroy still not declared for Ireland or GB (or neither) at the 2016 Olympics, those concerned appear to be faffing around the awkward question for as long as prio logoossible in order not to upset the apple cart. Surely it’s time to get this nailed down?

Meanwhile Ryan Ballangee has had a look at who would be featuring on the men’s and ladies Team USA if it were picked right now and it has a very familiar look.

The line up would consist of three experienced Major Champions Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson and Zach Johnson with Dustin Johnson the fourth USA player in the 60 man field.

The women’s team is no less impressive with Paula Creamer, Stacy Lewis, Lexi Thompson and Cristie Kerr qualifying.

Ryan also notes Team USA are so organized they have even announced their clothing gig with Adidas.

The actual cut off for qualifying July 11th 2016, with the opening ceremony due to take place on August 5th.  So still plenty to time.  Unless you haven’t figured out your country yet.
