Harris English 25/1
English has had a tidy start to the season with top 10âs at the Sony Open, Phoenix and Northern Trust and was impressive in dispatching Rory McIlroy in the WGC Matchplay. A two time winner in 2013 at Mayakoba and the St Jude English also tied for seventh at Innisbrook last year. Not the straightest batter on Tour but sixth in GIR to date this season, and thatâs the key stat at Copperhead.
Luke Donald 25/1
Just seems so at home at Innisbrook. As well as his win in 2012 has a T6 in 2010 and T4 last year. But has he the form to contend again after a seeming slide in 2013? I think so based on his T8 at The Honda and gutsy Sunday 69 at Doral to recover a T25 finish after a Friday 82.
Jim Furyk 35/1
Thereâs been nothing to write home about by Jim so far this year but seasoned punters know he rarely gets out of bed until week six and Innisbrook is where we first see him contend. There was a nice little cameo at the Matchplay with a run to the last eight, but itâs amid the tree lined chutes at Copperhead that Jim excels. Winner in 2010 and part of the four man playoff in 2012 when Luke Donald won. A respectable T7 here last year also. This course was built for him.
Gary Woodland 40/1
Beat Webb Simpson by a shot to win in 2011 and has looked impressive at times already this season with his Butch Harman swing. Used all his power to make a poor Friday into a respectable T16 at Doral and has a best so far in 2014 of a T10 at The Farmers.
Long Odds Glory Shots
Sang Moon Bae 100/1
Back almost a month after a T12 at the Northern Trust Open, I must say Iâm a little surprised to see the Korean out so far in the odds given that he too was part of the four man playoff in 2012.
Stuart Appleby 110/1
Itâs been a grind for Stuart since his 2010 Greenbrier win but he seems to be getting back to some of his best golf right now. The Aussie is a cut streak of six with top 10âs at the Humana and Honda. Top 10âs here in 2008 and 2009.
Brian Harman 200/1
Let me down a little at the weekend at The Honda but even to finish in the top 10 this week, he seemed a logical bet. T3 in Riviera and T14 on his first look at Innisbrook in 2013.
