Revealed: Which Is Better? Odyssey or Scotty Cameron.

Scotty or Odyssey? It’s like Blur and Oasis all over again. Until now we knew that both these brands had the lions share of the putter golf market, but now we have a clear indication of who is out in front on Tour.

According to current Darrell Survey information, Odyssey will represent 11 of the 24 putters in play at this weeks Ryder Cup. There will be five Odyssey gamers on the U.S. side and six on the European squad. No other putter manufacturer is expected to have more then three putters in play at Medinah, where clutch putting should ultimately prove to be the difference. These Ryder Cup numbers further prove that when the best players in the world compete, more pros count on Odyssey.

To date, Odyssey putters have notched 37 professional tournament wins in 2012, including 17 victories out of the 34 tournaments held on the European PGA Tour.

Ernie Els recently received a gold Odyssey putter in honour of his achievement in winning the 2012 British Open.

This Winter Odyssey will introduce the ProType Black putters with black heads, shafts and grips. The forged clubheads have a rich PVD finish and are milled from 1025-carbon steel for a soft impact feel but with a crisp sound. ProType Black putters come in three head styles; #2 (blade), #9 (mid mallet) and 2-Ball and will retail around the €200 mark.
