2013 WGC Accenture Matchplay Third Round (Last 16) Betting Tips And Predictions
Graeme McDowell Vs Shane Lowry: Two of my own countrymen and I hate having to choose a winner here. GMac will have benefitted from playing the final holes in competition yesterday evening but Shane has clearly got the speed of the greens dialled in. I think the fairytale will continue for Lowry.
Bubba Watson Vs Jason Day: For a guy who says he hates matchplay, Bubba is still hanging in there. Today is a different story however. Day is a serious matchplayer who still has another gear to find. Watsonâs weakness on the greens from 8 feet and in could be the difference here. Day to progress.
Robert Garrigus Vs Fredrik Jacobson: The Yak has been grinding his heart out, Garrigus has been cruising. Garrigus to win.
Matt Kuchar Vs Nicolas Colsaerts: Such a pity these two have to meet at this stage. This match has the pedigree to be the final. Many say Colsaerts, the reigning ârealâ world matchplay champion, will win and his numbers from the previous rounds are incredible. But Kuchar has been my pick to emerge from this bracket and Iâm sticking by him. Nobody is holing out with more authority than Kuch and he wont be fazed by the length and girth of Nicoâs driver! Kuchar to cause an upset.
Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano Vs Webb Simpson: Simpson came through a tough match with Peter Hanson who I fancied for the week. Castano is a super character but I fear it could be the end of the road for him.
Hunter Mahan Vs Martin Kaymer: Past champions clash here. Mahan has been quietly going about his business all week; I don't think he has even played the last two holes yet. Pummelled Sterne yesterday. This should be a great match but Mahan is playing that bit better than Kaymer. A US win.
Scott Piercy Vs Steve Stricker: Can Scott Piercy continue to freewheel through this tournament? No. Stricker will kick his ass. I think.
Tim Clark Vs Ian Poulter: Poulter has that look, and the numbers. Right now heâs the favourite.
