2013 WGC Accenture Matchplay Second Round Betting Preview and Predictions

• Carl Pettersson/Rickie Fowler Vs. Shane Lowry: Pettersson putted well yesterday and looks to have Rickie, but Lowry has to play better than yesterday. I’m going with Shane.

• Alexander Noren Vs Graeme McDowell: When Noren starts a tournament well, he just keeps going.  It’s a fact. Alex now has to be one of the favourites. He used to spend his winters in the desert.

• Bubba Watson Vs Jim Furyk: Bubba could overpower Jim today.

• Jason Day Vs Russell Henley: Day was in serious form yesterday, he should roll on.

• Louis Oosthuizen Vs Robert Garrigus: It’s not the course for Louis and I think Garrigus will take this based on his play yesterday. Putting better.

• Fredrik Jacobson Vs Marcus Fraser: The Yak might have the form but Fraser’s putting yesterday was amazing. I’m going with Marcus.

• Justin Rose Vs Nicolas Colsaerts: Watch out for a repeat of Colsaerts win over Rose in the other world matchplay!

• Matt Kuchar  Vs Sergio Garcia: Hard to believe Sergio is even in the second round.  I think Kuchar will win easily.

• Charles Howell III Vs Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano/Francesco Molinari: Howell has nothing to fear whoever he plays. Missed only two greens yesterday.

• Peter Hanson Vs Webb Simpson: I picked Hanson at the start and he did well to get through yesterday.

• Martin Kaymer  Vs Rafael Cabrera-Bello: Both men playing well but Kaymer hit some stone dead irons yesterday. That could be an omen for a big run.

• Hunter Mahan Vs Richard Sterne: Mahan looks very much at home at Dove Mountain and I think he’ll come through a tight match.

• Luke Donald Vs Scott Piercy: Donald looking rock solid.

• Nick Watney Vs Steve Stricker: Stricker is playing carefree golf and will drive Watney insane today around the greens. Stricks to cause an upset.

• Thorbjorn Olesen Vs Tim Clark: Olesen is a favourite of GCD and a future Major winner.   Should progress today.

• Ian Poulter Vs Bo Van Pelt: Poulter and BVeep both looked good yesterday. I’m going with Bo.

The media centre at the 2013 PGA Show was buzzing yesterday.  Not because of anything that happened at the show.  God forbid! When I rocked in, several men (and one woman) were gathered around an iphone ogling and sharing  two pics of who they claimed were Holly Sonders naked. Now I have to hold my hands up and say, I had to google her to find out she’s from The Golf Channel. Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
