New Titleist 714 AP1, AP2, CB, MB Irons: Features and Benefits Review

The motto for Titleist’s next generation of irons is "Distance without control is meaningless." The new 714 range are all about maximum forgiveness and workability.

  • No loss of ballspeed on mishits.
  • Each iron designed differently. Blade length and topline thickness changes.
  • Long irons have deep undercut cavity, tungsten weights in toe and thinnest faces for forgiveness and ballspeed.
  • Short irons designed for workability. No cavity, thicker faces, no tungsten weight.
  • 1 degree loft stronger than 712 AP1. PW is 44 deg.

  • For better players.
  • Blade and topline uniform across set.
  • Hosel and toe tungsten weights in each club to aid forgiveness, except 8 and 9 iron.
  • Thinnest face ever in a Titleist iron, saved weight to perimeter.
  • Used by Jason Dufner to win US PGA.
  • 1 degree loft stronger than 712 AP2. PW is 46 deg.
