Video: Kevin Na Cannot Catch A Break In Texas. Two Shot Penalty For ‘Testing The Sand’

Kevin Na was protesting and testing in the final round of the Valero Texas Open.  Protesting that there was no sand in the trap on the fifth after he duffed his bunker shot and left the ball still in it.

naThen he did as so many do, had a little whinge about the state of the sand, and had a couple of pokes at it with his clubhead to demonstrate to us all that the bunker was indeed in a state of disrepair and that he was totally correct.

However because his ball was STILL lying in the same bunker, Na’s touching of the sand twice was deemed “testing the sand” and a penalty applied for each time it was touched.

Maybe Na should leave Texas off the schedule next year.  Bad things seem to happen him there.

Here’s a short video of the incident, apologies it’s not better, I’m sure the Tour police will hunt it down anyway.
