2014 US Masters Late Mover In Betting: Sergio Garcia 20/1

With just hours now to go before the 2014 US Masters kicks off there has been a huge late surge in support for Sergio Garcia in the betting.

The Spaniard is offered at 20/1 and has seen a the biggest increase in the late money wagered on the big exchanges.

Sergio has only three top 10’s in his 15 Augusta starts but one of those came last year (T8) and the punters believe that this time around, Sergio brings form and a hot putter to the tournament.

Now with a steady girlfriend and steadier temperament Garcia’s formline  is nothing short of incredible.  He has now clocked up 11 straight top 20 finishes in European and US strokeplay events dating back to the 2013 Deutsche Bank.  He also has a solo third last time out in Houston.

Sergio's Form

BMW Championship 18 70 68 69 72 -5
Deutsche Bank Championship 4 65 64 65 73 -17
Sergio’s 2014 stats are equally impressive. First in scoring average and very impressive putting stats, traditionally regarded as a weakness of his game.

Selected Sergio 2014 Putting Stats

PUTTING FROM INSIDE 5' 98.17% 7

PUTTING FROM - > 25' 10.53% 3
PUTTING FROM 5-15' 50.00% 16

Can he win The Masters?  Yes he can. Will he win? His head seems right, and his putting is vastly improved.  Only time will tell.
