Is Tiger Woods the Player Of The Year? Lets have a look at both sides.



The Argument Against Woods

 tiger woods funnyLet’s the bad stuff out of the way first.  Tiger was Majorless this season and will be remembered for his role in four rules incidents.

  • Moved vines to improve ball condition in Abu Dhabi.
  • Dropped from wrong place at The Masters but was saved by the Green Jackets would invoked some rusty old rule to keep him in the tournament.  Many say that if it had happened Nicklaus he would have withdrawn.
  • Dropped ball 100 yards forward of where he should have at The Players. No extra penalty and won tournament.
  • Ball oscillation at BMW Championship.

The Argument For Woods

  • For Tiger is the fact that he re-emerged as a regular winner on the PGA Tour winning five times.  He’s also firmly back as World No. 1.
  • As well as the Farmers and Arnie’s event Tiger won two WGC events, the Cadillac and Bridgestone and the “fifth” Major, The Players.
  • His season earnings of just over $8.5 million are unmatched by any other player and he finished second in scoring average for the season.
  • He may not have won a Major in 2013 but Woods did tie fourth at The Masters and tie sixth at The Open.

So do I think Tiger Woods should win Player Of The Year?  Hell yes!

Should he get a sportsmanship award? Hell No!

The media centre at the 2013 PGA Show was buzzing yesterday.  Not because of anything that happened at the show.  God forbid! Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
