Lee Trevino says Phil Mickelson has such a good short game he couldnât even caddie for him
There are plenty of similarities between the life and career of Lee Trevino and that of Phil Mickelson. Both are showman that brought fans to the golf course in droves, some of the reasoning being they're simply fun to watch and some because of the charisma both carried around for 18 holes. Mickelson has five majors, Trevino ended with six, and both had that one major they just couldn't figure out (Mickelson at the U.S. Open, Trevino at Augusta). Trevino's short game was absolutely incredible, but how does it compare to what Mickelson can do with his wedges around the green? Trevino told Bleacher Report that Phil is so good around the greens he wouldn't even know how to caddie for him. "I love Mickelson and I love his short game, great wedge player. I don't think there's a man that's ever lived that has â'â' they always talked about me being good with wedges. I don't think I could have caddied for Mickelson when it comes to hitting wedges...
