The Tragic Passing Of Auburn Golf Coach Danielle Downey

The tragic death of Danielle Downey stopped me in my tracks today, as I’m sure I had some facebook likes on funnies from Auburn University’s golf coach in the past and was also aware of her from Jason Dufner’s updates on social media.
danielle downeyDowney was the operations director for the mens' and womens' golf teams at  Auburn. She played on the LPGA Tour from 2006 through 2010.  Reports say that the 33 year old had several drinks with friends at an Auburn restaurant before getting into her car and driving home.
Downey’s car was spotted travelling at high speed by another car on the road.  Sometime later it crossed the median and crashed into a tree, throwing Downey from the vehicle. She passed away en route to hospital from head injuries.
Alabama State Troopers have reported that alcohol was a factor in the crash.  A friend at the restaurant, Diana Ramage tried in vain to stop Downey driving by taking her car keys.
“We are still awaiting toxicology analysis by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to confirm, but the investigating Trooper's opinion is that alcohol was a contributing factor,” Sgt. Steve Jarrett said in an email.
The report narrative stated that while travelling north on Lee Road 57 near Auburn in her 2011 Hyundai Sonata, Downey ran off the left side of the road, collided with a small tree, then ran into a culvert and became airborne, overturning several times before being ejected from the car. Downey was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
The report stated Downey suffered serious head injuries as a result of the wreck and passed away while she was being taken to East Alabama Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 10:58 p.m.

Downey's funeral will be held Thursday. May she rest in peace.

Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
