Irish Open Part of Proposed New âWorld Golf Tourâ Schedule
Great piece by Kyle Porter of what the golfing schedule would look like if there was one world golf Tour.
George OâGrady are you watching? Porter has included a number (not many) current European Tour events but the Irish Open is in there and wouldnât be great to have Phil, Tiger, Rory and Adam battle it out on links in Ireland?
The schedule is well thought out to a point. The newest Major has been moved to February, to get all the players games honed earlier. The Middle East swing moves to March and golf returns âhomeâ for the month of July culminating in the Open Championship. Add in the regular Opens in Spain, Italy, Germany etc in September and he might be onto something.
