2013 US PGA Championship Final Round Betting Preview- Dufner and McIlroy To Tie
If you have followed my initial 2013 US PGA Betting Preview and Tips post, you will hopefully have backed Jason Dufner (40/1) and Henrik Stenson (28/1) before the tournament started.
This method of predicting the winner is just a bit of fun so please bear that in mind from the outset. However Iâve done it before for the Masters and it predicted Adam Scott as the winner. And if a giant octopus can do it without any logic, so can I!
What Iâve done is taken every players final round score (actual shots hit) from the last US PGA Championship in which they played all four rounds and added it to their three round score from this year. If a player has never played a US PGA Championship before, he gets a generous 71 as a default final round.
Using this method is looks like Rory McIlroy and Jason Dufner are headed for a playoff. Who is going to win that?
Both men were last in a PGA Tour event playoff in 2012:
Rory lost his playoff at the 2012 Wells Fargo; while Dufner won the 2012 Zurich Classic in a playoff!
