Tiger Diagnosed With Bulging Disc Not Bulging Ego As First Feared

TIGER BULGING DISCTurns out Tiger Woods has been diagnosed with the same thing that 99.9999% of the population who complain of a sore back have - a bulging disc.  The disc is not herniated meaning Tiger wont need surgery, and in theory he should be fit for the Masters.

Bulging diskc have many causes in everyday life but may be aggravated by heavy lifting and poor posture.  Muscle bound Woods admitted he had concentrated a lot of the off season on lifting weights.

Muscles around the damaged disc go into spasm as a defence to protect the disc when it presses on the nerve. This manifests itself as a painful back spasm which only recovers when the muscles relax.  This relaxation process takes place over time but can be speeded up by injecting difene and valium into the muscle. Proactive treatment to prevent further back spasms involve strengthening the muscles either side of the spinal cord.

He has until April 10th to recover.
