Bummer! Nico Colsaerts Shaves Hole With 59 Putt In Portugal
Nico Colsaerts had a 20 foot putt for the first ever 59 on The European Tour at the Portugal Masters today.

With seven birdies and two eagles at the 15th and 17th, Colsaerts found himself needing birdie on the long and tough 18th hole and did the first and toughest part of the job with ease after he hammered a 300 plus yard drive leaving only a short iron.
Instead of a landmark 59 Nico became the 19th man to card 60.
On the final putt he said

"When I made eagle on 15, I knew then that if I birdied the last three, that would have been 59," Colsaerts said.
On the final putt he said
"I thought it was going to be slightly left to right at the end and it kind of went straight and basically just left it hanging. Too bad, I thought it was a pretty good effort, especially with these dark clouds that we saw at the back. It's a great setting."Bummer.
