Everybody Be Calm: Everyâs Caddie Had A Compass Not The Bushnell Pro X7
That strange object that Matt Everyâs caddie Derek Mason was holding throughout the final round at Bay Hill wasnât the new Bushnell Pro X7 rangefinder after all; it was a simple old compass.
It is written in the rules of golf that use of a compass is allowed under Rule 14-3.
A compass only provides directional information and does not gauge or measure variable conditions or assist the player in his play.
Rangefinders such as the Pro X7 are allowed during practice rounds only.
If you havenât see Mason giving Every his expletive laden lay up instructions yet, make sure you check it out here!
