Bernd Wiesberger
The Austrian jumps right off the page as excellent value at 125/1. Itâs his first Open Championship but he has been having an excellent season. Has missed a cut since last October and has been in the top 35 in his last 8 events. Came close to winning in Sweden and Germany. A big strong guy who could do great.
Chris Wood
Back in the Open Championship for the first time since 2010 and recently back from injury is Chris Wood. Made his comeback after six weeks out in Paris and seemed to be swinging freely at Castle Stuart. Won the silver medal for leading amateur in 2008 when the tied fifth and tied third in 2009. You know what they say about injured golfers!
Alex Noren
The big strong Swede missed the cut in Paris and struggled at Castle Stuart but is the kind of guy who can bounce back quickly. Followed his last missed cut with four top 10âs in his next 8 events.
