Why should you back Lee?
Good odds, much improved short game and Lee has recently changed coaches to Sean Foley. Foley already has Tiger Woods, Justin Rose and Hunter Mahan on his books.
Westwood told the Telegraph. âWhen you look at what Sean has achieved with Tiger and Justin, plus the likes of Hunter Mahan, youâve got to say he is in the top drawer as a coach,â Westwood said. âHe obviously knows his stuff.â
âThe idea of linking up with Sean was to get back to swinging the way I used to,â Westwood said. âAfter so long without a coach I felt I was getting a little bit out of synch. I sat down with Sean at the Memorial and I like his ideas, so he came down to my house at Old Palm a couple of weeks ago and we had a five hour session that went really well.â
âWhat heâs had to say has been pretty simple to follow,â Westwood said. âAnd thatâs really appealed to me. I donât want to get overloaded with gimmicky stuff. We spent most of the time working on my posture and my position at address, and I feel like Iâm hitting the ball a lot better. Iâm definitely hitting it a lot further.â
Foley followed Westwood on his back nine at Muirfield yesterday.
âDespite his workload he was good enough to fit me in quite quickly, and working with him over the back nine helped a lot,â he said. âI could feel a few things start to click into place. I was driving it great and thatâs what you need to do around here.â
