Arnold Palmer sends his regrets to Australian Open invitation and wins

Arnold Palmer never fails to impress, even when he sends a letter of regret.

The Australian Open Golf invited Palmer to come to Brisbane to help celebrate the 100th playing of the tournament he won in 1966 at Royal Queensland Golf Club. Here is his letter of regret, as well as the Australian Open’s reaction:

Australian golfer Greg Chalmers noted the Tweet and called Palmer "one of the classiest pros ever in any sport."
