PGA Championship, Round 3: Jim Furyk is one round away from a second major

• Jim Furyk has had his fair share of chances at winning tournaments over the last year. Furyk was in a position at the U.S. Open before falling apart, and did the same thing on the final hole at Firestone a season ago. On Saturday at Oak Hill, he did anything but lose traction on a second major win, posting a round of 68 to take the lead by one heading into Sunday. Furyk would become just the third player ever to win his second major a full decade after winning his first, joining Ben Crenshaw and Julius Boros.

• Nipping at Furyk's heels is a host of big time players. Jason Dufner is a shot back and will be playing with Furyk on Sunday. The two Swedes, Henrik Stenson and Jonas Blixt, will be in the penultimate group at 7 and 6-under respectively, and Steve Stricker and Adam Scott sit at 5-under, four back of Furyk with 18 holes to play.

• Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson both continued to struggle at Oak Hill. Mickelson shot 78 on Saturday that included a triple-bogey and a double-bogey. Mickelson is just one spot away from dead last for those that made the cut. Tiger was a better than that on Saturday, but not anything that is going to help him win this tournament. His 3-over 73 has him well back of the lead and out of this championship with one round to play.

Normally this section is dedicated to one player, but how can you pick between Jonas Blixt, Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson on Saturday?

Johnson's round was the lowest, at 5-under 65 to jump nearly 50 players, but the way Blixt and McIlroy closed out their rounds make them just as special.

Rory birdied his final two holes to get in the conversation come Sunday and Blixt hit one of the best shots we've seen all week to set up a short birdie putt on the 18th.

No offense to that great chip-in by Rory McIlroy at the last, but this shot by Jonas Blixt to set up a closing birdie was ridiculous, and got him within three shots of the lead.

This crazy off-the-rocks shot by Matt Jones on the 11th hole saved him a couple of shots as he was able to make par.

The final round of the 2013 major championship season is upon us, with a ton of guys battling to leave Oak Hill with the Wanamaker Trophy.

Coverage kicks off on TNT at 11 AM ET, moving to CBS at 2 PM ET. We will be covering everything on Sunday so check back with us here all day for videos, recaps and a final nod to this major year.
