2013 M2M Russian Open Betting Preview and Tips

The Russian Open moves to the Nicklaus designed Tseleevo Golf and Polo Club this week.  The course has hosted Challenge Tour events, but this is the first time the full European Tour has been back in five years.  Here are a few names to add to your betting discussion.

Simon Dyson 13/1

russiaSimon Dyson seems to have clicked again recently and will most likely start favourite this week.  A solo fifth on the treacherous Paris National is sure to have buoyed the confidence and a T12 on a fiery Castle Stuart represented another solid week.

Morten Orum Madsen 30/1

Very impressive Dane who starts just his 15th regular European Tour event this week.  Already tied second in Madeira, played in and made the cut at the US Open, and made his last three cuts in Germany, France and Scotland.

Robert Rock 38/1

Robert Rock is having a rotten season but showed at the Irish Open, that given the right track, he can contend.  He tied second there and promptly went back to missing cuts in France and Scotland.  However he’s one of the bigger fish this week; it’s less about money than getting the “W”.

Chris Doak 38/1

A pair of 66’s last time out in Scotland had Chris breathing the rarified air and he did well to tie 12th.  If he strikes it as good as that in Russia, Doak will be in the mix.  T6 on this week last season.

Best Of The Rest

Great performance by Rikard Karlberg 50/1 at the Nordea Masters (T4) from the Swede who got himself a shot at Merion in the US Open.  Has played solid this season with three other top 30 finishes.

Alex Kaleka 85/1 and Chris Paisley 90/1 are another two players who will start at long odds but have a decent each shot this week.
