PGA Championship, Round 2: Jason Dufner nearly makes history at Oak Hill

• Jason Dufner was the story on Friday at the PGA Championship, but we will get to him in a bit. The big story continues to be how easy Oak Hill is playing, and how the best in the world are taking full advantage of the soft conditions and pure greens.

• The PGA of America always groups the three major winners together for the first two rounds of the PGA Championship, and two of those men have a real shot at adding another trophy to their already great seasons. Adam Scott sits two shots back of Dufner, while Justin Rose is a shot back of Scott at 6-under. Both have played great for two days and will definitely be factors come this weekend.

• The two names that most thought had the best chance at the Wanamaker Trophy have struggled this week at Oak Hill. Tiger Woods shot a round of even-par 70 on a friendly scoring day to sit 10 shots back of the lead, while Phil Mickelson is a shot back of Tiger, 11 shots behind Dufner. Both have struggled to hit fairways and can't seem to figure out these Oak Hill greens, and will need a great Saturday if they even want to be in the conversation entering the final round.

Jason Dufner's 63 not only tied the low round in a major championship but broke the course record at Oak Hill. The best part about it? A lot of people might call it a "disappointing" 63. Dufner came to the 18th green with 12 feet left for a 62 to be the only man to go that low in a major championship, but left the putt a foot short, something he noted after the round probably had to do with nerves. Still, his round was incredible and has him atop the leaderboard with two rounds to play.

Oak Hill might be playing easy if you find the fairways, but the rough is still pretty gnarly. Steve Stricker showed that on Friday at the PGA Championship, but no problems for Stricker, who finished at 5-under, four shots back of the lead.

While the leaderboard is packed with big names, there were a lot of notable players that won't be around for the weekend at Oak Hill.

Shaun Micheel, who won at this course in 2003, shot 76-76 to miss the cut by a mile. Bubba Watson, Charl Schwartzel, and Ernie Els are some notable major winners that missed the cut, as did Luke Donald, the first time in his career that he missed two cuts in a row at majors.

Two more rounds of the PGA Championship kick off on Saturday morning, with so many big names fighting for the final major of the season.

Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
