Two time women’s Major champion Lynn McCool from beautiful Lough Erne Golf Resort has been on the blower with news of The Faldo Series Ireland Championship at Lough Erne Resort on April 16-17, 2013. It could be your first stepping stone to stardom. Past winners include Major Champions Rory McIlroy and Yani Tseng.

How To Enter The Faldo Series

Golfers born in 1992 or later wishing to enter the Faldo Series Ireland Championship at Lough Erne Resort on April 16-17 should email legolfshop@lougherneresort.com or visit www.lougherneresort.com before entries close on April 5.

Event Format

rory-mcilroy-2004 Golfers aged 12 to 21 can enter the sixth Ireland Championship, to be played over two rounds on the Faldo Course at Lough Erne. The field will be divided into five age-groups â€" three for boys and two for girls â€" and the winners of each division will again join Nick Faldo at the season-ending 17th Faldo Series Grand Final, a 54-hole World Amateur Golf Ranking event. Supported by The R&A, ISPS and the European Tour, eight Faldo Series UK Championships across England, Scotland and Wales have already been announced for 2013 and dates are set to be confirmed for events in Austria, Brazil, Chile, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Slovakia and The Netherlands.

Last Year

16-year-old Ireland squad member Rowan Lester (Hermitage) won the tournament in 2012 before finishing an impressive third in his age-category at the Grand Final. Lester and four more Irish winners qualified for the final where they spent the week learning from six-time Major Champion Sir Nick Faldo.

The media centre at the 2013 PGA Show was buzzing yesterday.  Not because of anything that happened at the show.  God forbid! Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. The Sky statement read: We apologize unreservedly for the navy dress Sarah wore during last nights broadcast, through which no nipples were visible. This was due to a wardrobe malfunction. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
