Tim Clark 16/1

tim clark funny_thumb[5] Super to see Tim Clark back on top form after a mysterious elbow injury threatened his career.  Second last week at the Sony Open and comes to the desert knowing these three courses suit him down to the ground. La Quinta, the longest of the three is just over 7,000 yards from the tips.  This will be Tim’s fifth start in the Humana/Bob Hope, he’s come second twice and tied fifth on another occasion.  My big tip this week.

Robert Garrigus  25/1

One of the most in form players when the Tour wound down in November posting seconds at the Childrens Miracle Network Classic and the CIMB in Malaysia.  Garrigus came out of the blocks here strongly last year tying second behind Mark Wilson.

Brendon deJonge 50/1

The big powerful South African played nicely last week at the Sony but his putter was stone cold.  Tying seventh in greens hit on the shotlink stats should have yielded a much better payday than a tied 54th.  However the greens in the desert  this week will be more to his liking.  Finished last season in great form with three top-4 finishes.  Brendon shot a final round 64 to tie 12th here last year and I fancy a good performance.

Pat Perez 40/1

humana A winner here under the old five day format in 2009 and tied for 14th with a final round 63 in 2012 under the new.  Double P also shot a 63 in the second round at the Sony Open last week on his way to a top 10.  If he’s in the mood, he’s a threat. If!

Best Of The Rest

Bill Haas 25/1 has fond memories of his 2010 win and tied second in 2011 and though he did struggle at the Tournament Of Champions, so did everyone, the conditions were atrocious.  We tipped Mark Wilson last week but he bombed out badly for us.  Nevertheless he is the defending champion, the course set up is ideal for him and he is available at a very generous 66/1.

The media centre at the 2013 PGA Show was buzzing yesterday.  Not because of anything that happened at the show.  God forbid! When I rocked in, several men (and one woman) were gathered around an iphone ogling and sharing  two pics of who they claimed were Holly Sonders naked. Now I have to hold my hands up and say, I had to google her to find out she’s from The Golf Channel. I don’t watch the Golf Channel because I don’t have an erectile dysfunction problem or need to rent a car from National.  I’m told adverts for both are all that’s on that channel. How they knew for certain it was her, I dont know.  Unless the cheeks of her ass were on her passport photo and they recognized them from there, but I doubt it. Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. The Sky statement read: We apologize unreservedly for the navy dress Sarah wore during last nights broadcast, through which no nipples were visible. This was due to a wardrobe malfunction. However we do intend to rectify this during our US Masters coverage and assure viewers that plenty of bridge rivets will be on show, both from Sarah and special guest Colin Montgomeri

Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
