Strings Nailed By Two Pings
Hereâs Irish rugby legend Peter Stringer as you have never seen him before, using his head as a tee box while Mick OâDriscoll and Eoin Cadogan prepare to swing.
The pair took turns takings divots out of the scrum halfâs dome to launch the Lee Valley Golf Classic in aid of Breakthrough Cancer Research, who fundraise for research projects taking place at Cork Cancer Research Centre.
The event will take place this Thursday, September 13th at Lee Valley and there are limited tee times still available at â¬300 for a team of three, including green fees, a meal and a goodie bag. For information on how to book a tee time or sponsor a tee box, contact Dermot Walsh on 021 4870902 or 087 7757632. For further information on Breakthrough Cancer Research, see www.breakthroughcancerresearch.ie or their Facebook page.
Stringer who lost an ear, his nose and obliterated a cheekbone for the photo shoot is expected to miss most of the season. But sure heâs not on the team anymore anyway so itâs alright. Only jokin Strings!
