2012 BMW Italian Open Free Golf Betting Preview and Tips

Francesco Molinari 12/1

fran The home favourite this week is sure to be Francesco Molinari who returns after a couple of weeks off to build up for the Ryder Cup. He will be hoping his form in the USA is better than that shown on his trips to the US PGA and WGC Bridgestone which were poor by his standards. However back in Europe the Italian has been superb with a good showing in Ireland followed by two runner-ups in Paris and Castle Stuart and then a sixth at Gleneagles last time out. Tied for eighth last year ranking 39th in putts per round.  Hopefuly Mama’s dolmio will do the trick this year!

Nicolas Colsaerts 15/1

Superman02 Another good performance at the KLM Open for Nico makes it two top 10’s in his last three starts. Really impressed with four rounds in the 60’s at the Wyndham Championship on the PGA Tour before jetting back for a decent finish at Gleneagles. Last week’s tied eighth included a super second round of 65. Nico played well at this venue in 2010 (when it was staged in May) finishing in a tie for third.

Pic: Coulthard. Dont be confused.

Thorbjorn Olesen 24/1

thor Thorbjorn took a week off after missing his first cut in six events in Switzerland and hopefully he will be back to his best this week. The Royal Park 1 Roveri course should suit the Dane, cumulatively he had the best stats of the field in 2011 when he tied second behind Robert Rock. It’s just his 57th Tour start this week and he has already notched up 11 top-10 finishes including a win at the Sicilian Open in April.

Scott Jamieson 65/1

scott Bang in form heading to Italy is Scott Jamieson who bounced back from a missed cut in Switzerland to tie for fourth at the KLM Open. That’s the Scot’s third top 10 of the season. Jamieson opened with a seven under 65 in the last staging so knows how to go low at the venue. Excellent value at 65/1.

Gregory Bourdy 55/1

The Frenchman has had a really solid Summer and finally scored his first top 10 of the season last week in Holland. His last win came in at the UBS Hong Kong Open in 2009 and signs are good that another may not be far off. Bourdy tied for 11th last year six shots off the pace. Worth an each way look.
