Hunter Mahan May Not Watch Ryder Cup. Is That Kind Of Lack Of Interest Why He Got Left Off?
Hunter Mahan told US golf journoâs yesterday he might not be watching The Ryder Cup.
"I don't think so," Mahan said when asked if he would watch the matches on television.
Surely that means Davis Loveâs sonâs decision not to pick him for the US Team is wholly justified. I mean who would want a player on his team who doesnât even have enough interest in the damn âexhibitionâ to watch it on television? Who wouldnât want to watch his best friends in the whole world out there battling for their country against the oppressive old foe that stole some of their top companies for tax purposes, Europe? Come on Hunter.
Oh but hang on, thatâs not it. The Hunter says he wont be watching the Ryder Cup because itâs hard to deal with. "It's hard to watch something like that when you've been through it a few times, you know how much fun it is and you want to be there. Once you go to one, you don't want to miss it because you know how much fun they are."
Oh so thatâs it. Hunter and all the other kids had big ice-cream cones, and were all happy. Then Hunterâs ice cream slips and falls to the ground and gets covered in stones. Suddenly the fun is over, poor Hunter is crying and for some reason isnât too keen on watching the other kids eat their ice-creams.
Watch the damn Ryder Cup Hunter. Become a fan again. Enjoy it for what it is. Cheer on your friends. Be inspired by it to get back there. Donât turn your back on it because your ice-cream is on the ground.
