Chowrasia seals playoff victory in India

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Local favorite S.S.P. Chowrasia lifted his third Asian Tour title on Sunday, coolly rolling in a 15-foot birdie putt to prevail in a three-way playoff at the Delhi Golf Club.

Fondly called "Chipputsia" for his impressive short game, the Kolkata golfer began the final round five shots off lead before firing eight birdies in the day's lowest score of six-under-par 66 to join compatriot Rahil Gangjee (71) and Sri Lankan Mithun Perera (70) on 12-under-par 276.

"It is three years since I last won and I will take a lot of positives from the win," said the 36-year-old Chowrasia, who won his first Asian Tour title at the 2008 Indian Masters at the same venue.

"At the start of the day, I was thinking that if I could shoot a four or five-under, I will have a chance to win. I was confident I could catch the leader."

Gangjee, who led for three days, found rough with a poor tee shot on the final hole while Perera failed to become the first Sri Lankan to win on the Asian Tour after narrowly missing a 10-footer birdie putt.

Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
