Phil Mickelson bounces back from ball mishap, holes out from fairway bunker
Golfers, like baseball closers, need to have short memories, as lingering on the past can negatively impact the present.
Conversely, one could forgive Phil Mickelson if his mind was elsewhere in Round 2 after receiving a bizarre -- and more importantly, wrong -- penalty, costing his team two holes...on one hole.
But Mickelson showed he was not crying over spilled milk, birding the 11th to even his match against Adam Scott and Jason Day. Then, on the 12th, Phil did this:
Not a bad follow-up from yesterday's greenside bunker shot.
Still need to work on that handshake with Zach Johnson, though.
