No. 1 on bucket list for NBA’s top draft choice Karl-Anthony Towns? To

Karl-Anthony Towns, 19, a 6-11 center/power forward from Piscataway, N.J., who went first in the NBA draft and has signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Presumably, then, basketball is his first sport. But golf seems to be a close second. Complex Sports asked him, “Outside of basketball, the No. 1 thing to knock off your bucket list?”

His response? “I want to play at Augusta National.”

Towns, who played one year at Kentucky, is an avid golfer, who over the summer told Huffington Post, “It’s a great sport. I love to play. I absolutely have a blast playing golf, and every morning I’m on the golf course.”

USA Today High School Sports interviewed his high school coach, Dave Turco, who said, “He pretty much excelled at everything he tried. In golf he shot in the 80s with clubs that weren’t the right size for him.”
