Tiger Woods posts low round of the year on Saturday at the Honda Classic
Halfway through Tiger Woods' second round at the Honda Classic it wasn't a question of if he might contend, it was a question if he would even make the cut.
Woods opened with a sloppy 71 on Thursday, followed it up with a "both hands on the wheel" 69 on Friday to make the cut on the number, and then Saturday rolled around and Woods made use of what most like to call Moving Day.
Tiger's third round 65 didn't just jump him well up the leaderboard, but was the lowest round of his 2014 season, a disappointment so far by Tiger's standards.
But one round can change a year, and Woods went out super early on Saturday at PGA National and made seven birdies to get back to 5-under for the tournament.
Tiger, who has struggled to get the ball close to the hole all year, knocked in some long putts, had a chip-in for the second straight day and despite no birdies on either of the par-5s was able to at least get into the conversation come Sunday with that round of golf.
