Report: Gigantic Alligator Taking over Greens at Florida Golf Course

As a former Floridian who has consumed beers on a number of the Sunshine State’s less prestigious golf courses, I can affirm that alligators are not a new sight around links south of Valdosta, Georgia.

What Floridians are not used to seeing, however, are dinosaurs from the late Cretaceous period taking up residence three feet from the hole.

According to a report from WPTV in West Palm Beach, this appeared to be the way of things at a golf course in Englewood, Florida, over the weekend, where images have emerged of a monstrous alligator stalking the greens at Myakka Pines Golf Club. 

Golfers named Bill Susie and Dick Huber took pictures of the animal and shared them with the club. Honorably, the course posted the pictures on its Facebook page as an interesting tidbit/warning to locals. 

According to the WPTV report, the gator was traversing from pond to pond near the green at No. 7, stopping periodically to sun itself and claim dominion over the pin.

Again, alligators are old hat in Floridaâ€"just not ones that look like juvenile versions of the Sarcosuchus. When an alligator looks like you could stack two skateboards and roll them through its standing legs, that’s a big gator. 

Of course, hoaxes are always possible, and until someone recovers Chubbs’ hand from its stomach, we won’t have definitive proof this titan exists. 

Until then, play it safe. Just stay in the cart, sip your John Daly and drive right past No. 7.

Sarah Stirk Nipple Gate: Navy Top Leaves Viewers Disappointed

London: Sky Sports management this morning issued a statement  apologizing to subscribers after Sarah Stirk wore a navy dress live on air.  It is believed up to 60,000 horny golfers were left limp after they tuned in to final round coverage of the Valero Texas Open in the hope of getting a glimpse of the legendary Stirk starter buttons. “I pay my subscription, I’m bloody well entitled to see Sarah’s Wimbledon strawberries” said factory worker Paul Manning 52 from Hereford. “I even missed the ten minute freeview, coz my mate Derek tweeted that Stirk was going into the shot centre for ten minutes at 11pm”. Holly Sonders Quits Golf Channel After Contract Talks Fail. Moves To Fox.

Tissues at the ready guys as this will come as a shock to you all that Holly Sonders , the female face of the Golf Channel, has quit and reportedly taken a job with Fox Sports. According to  reports Sonders, who appeared regularly on “Morning Drive” since 2011, could not come to an agreement on a new contract deal with the Golf Channel and was quickly snapped up by Fox Sports where she is expected to work on golf and NFL.
