Caitlyn Jenner: Sherwood Country Club Golf Course Denies Privileges She Had ... - Hollywood Life
Uh-oh! It seems that challenges lie ahead for Caitlyn Jenner. After transforming herself from Bruce, the 65-year-old stunner now has to worry about where she eats, changes clothes and goes to the bathroom â" at her beloved country club and golf course!
Caitlyn Jenner, 65, first joined LAâs Sherwood Country Club and golf course as Bruce Jenner 15 years ago. Since then, itâs become her happy place and practically a home away from home. However, now that sheâs unveiled her new female identity, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star might not be welcome to the privileges sheâs become accustomed to, according to a new report. Yep, as a woman, Ms. Jenner isnât privy to the same set of perks as the clubâs male members. Read on for all the details!
Golfing at his beloved country club almost every day, Bruce made quite a name for himself on the green. Along with coughing up $225,000 for the establishmentâs pricy initiation fee, he cultivated friendships with golfing buddies like Wayne Gretzky â" where they enjoyed male-only benefits.
But now that Bruce is Caitlyn, she will have to adhere to the clubâs gender-specific protocol, according to TMZ. So what are the main differences? Well, first of all â" as a woman, Caitlyn wonât be able to enjoy the dining room and bar reserved for men members only, allegedly. The female quarters are not nearly as nice, according to the site. So unfair, right?!
Luckily, Sherwoodâs board is open to an appeal from Caitlyn herself, a source says. This means the brunette beauty has the ability to make a case that she should be allowed to maintain the same advantages she had as Bruce. Fingers crossed for you, Cait!
Caitlyn Jennerâs Biggest Fear: Looking âLike A Guyâ In A Dress
Changes to her country club membership arenât the only problems plaguing Caitlynâs mind, as she finds her footing as a female. One of her other main concerns? Looking âlike a guyâ in a dress!
âI was always worriedâ¦you never want to look like a guy in a dress. If youâre going to do [this], and come out, you really have to look the part,â she told the July 2015 issue of Vanity Fair. âYou have to look very feminine. Your presentation is extremely important.â
Caitlyn admits she looks to other transgender celebs (like Laverne Cox!) for inspiration. âIâm kind of following in their footsteps,â she gushes. âThey made it easier for me. And I hope, with my honesty, I can make it easier for someone else down the line.â Love that positive vibe, girl! Now letâs see if the Sherwood Country Club is ready to adopt the same attitude, and let Caitlyn (and all of their women golfers) play with the boys!
HollywoodLifers â" let us know what YOU think! Should Caitlyn have to follow new rules for women? Or should she be able to keep the same country club benefits she had as Bruce?
