Dang! TV Cameras Miss Nico Colsaerts 447 Yard European Tour Record Drive
Unfortunately the Sky Sports TV cameras were not present when Nicolas Colsaerts unleashed his drive on the downhill 18th hole at Celtic Manor yesterday.
The monster hit was officially measured at 447 yards and broke the European Tour long drive record by five yards.
The Belgian hit his 52 degree wedge onto the green at the 613-yard par 5.
Rory McIlroy hit this 436 yard effort at the Scottish Open this Summer.
And Louis Oosthuizen hit this 500 yard drive with the aid of a cart path in Korea which didn't quite qualify for the official record books.

"I thought it was too far right but it's all downhill and downwind and it must have luged down the fairway. If all the stars align you can hit it a long way," Colsaerts said of the hit.
